Cartwright was married to Steve Gullion, in 1976. They have two children. Born from England, Angela is the younger sister of actor Veronica Cartwright. Bonanza, which was the very first western to show in full color told the story about the Cartwrights. The imaginary family made up of cattle ranchers, they resided in the 1890s and were from Virginia City Nevada. This mining town was a boomtown. The actor was played by Cartwright who was the oldest Cartwright child whose mother Marie is French Creole. She had been widowed when her son died of fever in the episode Marie My Love.
