Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor director producer, and vocalist. A beautiful, smart and gifted actress, she is an example to Asian actors who are aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. After her success, she landed significant parts in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). Then she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren in QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film her role as a leading lady in flops at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were equally prominent. Then she began voicing characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's small-screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu takes great care in selecting her roles, so she isn't a victim of stereotypes. While she's been embracing her heritage, she hasn't allowed it to restrict her artistic abilities.
